Hi, I'm Joachim Melloh
I joined Sekisui Alveo six years ago, and one thing has stayed with me ever since, my interview during the pandemic. The circumstances were anything but ordinary, yet the conversation itself felt refreshingly genuine. It was open, personal and driven by a real interest in getting to know me. From that very first meeting, I had the feeling that people here don't just talk about employees. They talk with them.
This is my working world
What attracted me most was the opportunity to work in a small, cross-functional team. At the same time, the company was going through a major transformation. For me, that combination was incredibly exciting. There were short decision-making paths, plenty of room to make an impact, and the opportunity not just to witness change, but to help shape it.
That has defined my journey at Sekisui Alveo ever since. Change is part of every organisation. The real question is how you respond to it. I've always believed that change isn't something to resist. It's an essential part of growth. Of course, transformation brings uncertainty, but it also creates opportunities to challenge the status quo, improve the way we work and keep moving forward.
What has helped me most along the way is resilience, a solution-focused mindset and close collaboration with colleagues. Real change rarely happens in isolation. It happens when people take ownership, communicate openly and work towards a shared goal.

Looking back, I'm particularly proud to have played an active role in several transformation projects. Not because every step was easy, but because we stayed focused, tackled challenges together and always found a way forward as a team.
In my role in S&OP and Supply Planning, I see every day how important collaboration really is. Planning is about much more than processes and numbers. It's about bringing different perspectives together, enabling better decisions and helping the entire organisation succeed.
One of the highlights of my career so far was serving as Business Process Champion during the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. It's the kind of challenge you can never be fully prepared for, which is exactly what made it one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
What continues to motivate me is the people. The respect we show each other, the appreciation we have for one another and the genuine interest in the people behind the roles make all the difference. Collaboration isn't just something we talk about here. It's something that we live every day.
That's why I enjoy coming to work. Because I know I can make a difference alongside colleagues who take ownership, support one another and are committed to shaping the future.
